All boats have now finished

Christian Beck's super maxi InfoTrack has bagged the elusive double in the Cabbage Tree Island Race, claiming both line and IRC handicap honours.

The team had a great battle with their rival super maxi Black Jack, owned by Peter Harburg, and showed exceptional performance in lighter winds.

The race turned out to be a David and Goliath affair, with the super maxis claiming every handicap Div1, and the smallest boat in the fleet, Shane Kearns' S&S 34 White Bay 6 Azzurro claiming every handicap Div 2.

Brief results:

  • LINE HONOURS: InfoTrack crossed the finish just before 0900hrs Saturday morning to claim line honours.
  • IRC, ORCi & PHS HANDICAP DIV1: InfoTrack took home IRC and PHS Div1 victories, with Black Jack claiming ORCi Div1
  • IRC, ORCi & PHS HANDICAP DIV2: White Bay 6 Azzurro took a clean sweep of all handicap Div2 victories
  • TWO HANDED: Rupert Henry's J/65 Burning Palms was the fastest Two-Handed boat out there, claiming line honours just after 2100hrs yesterday evening and also holding onto IRC honours. ORCi was won by Jiang Lin's X 43 Min River and PHS was claimed by Chris Canty's S&S 39 Galaxy III
