Pretty Woman tastes victory in Wild Rose IRC division of Bird Island Race

Richard Hudson's Farr 45 Pretty Woman was victorious in the Wild Rose IRC Division of Saturday's Bird Island Race.

The Wild Rose IRC Division was created to encourage greater female participation in the Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore.

Hudson said afterwards: "I am very fortunate to have an awesome team of youngsters, (relative to me anyway!). Pretty Woman is 27 years old and half the crew are younger than the boat. We had a great Bird Island Race, especially on the way back - we were regularly sailing in the high teens and the crew sailed her like she was stolen. We have a mixture of male and female crew which provides a good balance on board. We are now looking forward to Cabbage Tree and to the RSHYR. We are ready to go."
