All yachts have now passed Flinders Island and heading for the finish
With yachts now working their way back up the coast past the Royal National Park their speed has slowed with the first yacht expected to be crossing the line at round 1900 hrs this evening.
There has been some insights received from the crew on the TP52 KOA who have had to retire due to sail and hatch damage:
"We got an enormous wave and stuffed the bow in so deep the hatch blow off its hinges and the spinnaker was destroyed. It was safest to retire. It was a fun race while it lasted!"
