With the breeze easing considerably this morning, the big end of town seem to have an advantage in this race so far

With the two super maxis the only teams home before the breeze shut down earlier this morning, the elusive double - both line and handicap honours - looks to be on the cards for Christian Beck's InfoTrack.

The Juan-K 100 InfoTrack sailed a stellar race, managing to hold off their big boat rival, Peter Harburg's Black Jack, in what are usually touted as the lighter, skinnier RP100's favoured conditions.

While the breeze lightened off considerably this morning, teams will be buoyed by a forecast north-easterly sea breeze which should build throughout the day. While the big boats seem to have the top of the ladder under control at the moment, the rest of the fleet will be hunting them down as that north-easterly propels them to the finish line in a fast downwind run home.

Current standings:

  • LINE HONOURS: Infotrack crossed the line just before 0900hrs this morning to claim line honours. 
  • IRC HANDICAP: InfoTrack also controls IRC Div1, Alexander Flecknoe-Brown's X 41 Patrice Six is currently at the top of Div2
  • ORCi HANDICAP: Black Jack is sitting pretty for ORCi Div1 honours, Shane Kearns' S&S 34 White Bay 6 Azzurro is holding onto Div2
  • PHS HANDICAP: InfoTrack features here again with PHS Div1 currently in their sights, Patrice Six is another repeat performer with Div2 in their sights
  • TWO HANDED: Rupert Henry's J/65 Burning Palms is the fastest Two-Handed boat out there and are also holding onto IRC honours; ORCi and PHS, however, are currently in the hands of Mark Ayto's BH36 Local Hero
