First challenge of the season: the Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race. Entries close this Friday, 10 July, if you're not entered yet, now's the moment.

Before you plan your campaign, please take note of a few important changes.

Key Changes for the season ahead:

Entries now close two Mondays before each race date.

Also worth noting:

• Pointscore entries must be completed before the Flinders Islet Race.

• Boats must regularly monitor their satellite phone while racing.

• The Tollgate Islands Race finish line won't be manned after 1600hrs the Sunday following the race start — boats will need to complete a declaration per the Sailing Instructions.

• The Wild Rose Pointscore now requires a minimum of 30% female crew.
